We will start with an opening ritual held by Minahasa elders in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is a sunset ritual that begins with an elder singing an old poem. Usually this ritual is held on a mountainside facing the beach, so that the it is ‘escorting’ the sun as it sets.

The ritual will followed by a conversation bringing together different actors from across Indonesian movements to speak and listen from the heart.
