As the sun goes down on a system that cannot save us from itself, we came together for a 24hr global assembly that flowed with the sunset round the world before COP 26.

The gathering was passed from community to community, between sunset on the 29th and sunset on the 30th October. We invited people to join for the 2 or 3 hours over their sunset, or to stay and witness as much of the gathering as they chose. As communities, we reflected on:

“How the system is impacting on us and our communities, and how we are resisting, creating alternatives and maintaining connectedness in the face of it.”

People were be invited to speak from the heart and listen from the heart. Together we experimented with different forms, as we seek a path through to a politics of wholeness where we can be deeply present to each other, rather than speaking at each other. 

Programme

The programme is created by different groups of people around the globe. Each of them will be hosting the part of the Assembly that will take place around their local sunset. This way we will follow the sunset as it moves around our planet, visiting different communities as they convene.

Holding Groups

Multiple holding groups around the globe hosted a section of the wider assembly for the sunset in their time zone. Sharing Circles were held between holding group sessions to allow everyone to share.
